Remind me why I'm doing this again?

I have flu. I'm totally bedridden. DiddyCakes is now 10mo and is down to one formula feed in the morning & a BF before bed. I feel so rotten I actually don't want to feed him myself at all. He's all snotty too so it's a very messy affair anyway & he's not taking much; more messing about & biting me.

Please give me a kick to carry on. I'm seriously on the verge of giving up & making both feeds formula.

Well, if you do have flu its a good way to pass on your antibodies.....

DMCWelshCakes · 17/03/2012 20:11

There is that. He's been running a temperature of 39.2 on and off & is a total snotmonster, so I'm not sure it's been as effective as all that.

Because its lovely for you both, the comfort and the closeness you feel. you'll feel better about feeding once you feel better, one formula feed at bedtime won't hurt.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 17/03/2012 20:17

Ah, but he could have been alot worse without all those antibodes Grin

How about...you don't want sore boobs in the middle of the night as well as everything else? Though they might be fine of course! Get well soon.

DMCWelshCakes · 17/03/2012 20:26

That's a good point too. Everything hurts from my earlobes to my toes to painful norks on top of that would probably tip me over the edge.

I hate being ill. It sucks.

Thanks for the suggestions & sympathy.

How are you feeling today?

DMCWelshCakes · 18/03/2012 22:37

Still bedridden but much better than yesterday. Am still managing DiddyCakes' bedtime feed. Not sure if being ill has affected my supply at all or whether he's having difficulty feeding as he's so bunged up himself, but tonight's feed took forever. He's normally a fairly quick feeder.
