Yes, and the more you do it the more that will be made! If you don't do it then it should stop (but if you keep 'checking' it won't Wink)

Only caution would be if you suddenly started lactating out of nowhere then a trip to the GP would be advisable to look into why.

Yes, I had a baby that I didn't even carry for a trimester and my boobs leaked for 1 year! Medial term is ductasia, although i think that sounds like a kids film! It will stop x

lovealookabout · 13/03/2012 21:46

Ooops medical not medial x

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 13/03/2012 21:53

Some medications I think can induce lactation I'm not gonna ask if your on any as it's private :) but if you are maybe go google possible side effects see if that's what's stopped you drying out :)

Yes I still do 6 months after stopping feeding at 2yo. But DS is still boob obsessed and spends most of his time trying to get access, so they are getting more than their fair share of stimulation. If I let him he'd be back to full time BF in a heart beat Hmm

VivaLeBeaver · 13/03/2012 21:58

Dd is 11 and mine still do. Gp seems most uninterested.

WoTmania · 14/03/2012 00:07

I know someone who 10 years since last BF can still squeeze a drop out. It is within the realms of normal.

MrsBovary · 14/03/2012 00:20

Mine too at three years, though I stopped breastfeeding dd less than a year ago. Somebody from this topic said that her mother experienced this still, some 20 years later!

startail · 14/03/2012 00:29

I haven't fed DD for 15 months, but my boobs still ouse if squeezed.
Mind you she feed for a very long time, with odd weeks off over the years.

Holding my BF new baby felt a bit unnerving, the body doesn't forget.
