Painful feeding now DC has teeth

As the title says really. Now that DC has got all 4 of his top teeth (and they're not even all the way yet) feeding is quite uncomfortable, I can definitely feel his top teeth on my breast/nipple. Any tips??

it get's better... seriously, it does. But it hurts until your nips toughen up. Keep trying different positions for feeding so as the sore areas have a chance to recover. I was lucky [?!] that DD didn't get her bottom teeth until she was 10 months and her top teeth at 14 months. However she had two set of molars, two more top and two more bottom coming through at the moment and each new tooth is felt by my nip.

Oh, keep an eye out for damage or any unusual tenderness/swelling/redness. I developed a huge milk blister, which was cured with a hot[ish] compress.

I've been finding this - DS has just got his first top tooth through and he's not bitten me but it's rubbing against my nipple and it hurts soooo much! I'm hoping once the razor sharp edge has been taken off it that it will improve. I know his latch isn't brilliant but he's got a TT so there's only so much I can achieve with positioning :(

Same here with a less than brilliant latch SpannerPants That's probably the cause of the problem. DS also has/had tongue tie and it took until around 6 months for feeding to finally be semi-comfortable. I guess maybe with a 'proper' latch the teeth don't make a difference, but in our case it does. Annoying, but ah well, back to the lanolin I guess!
