My baby is 13 weeks old and is still suffering with colic. I need some hope that it will get better soon. Have had to resort to calpol a couple of times though I'm not sure I should have done.

I think it's a case of trying different medicines or techniques. Colief or Infacol are popular choices to try, also gripe water. I found that baby massage worked with me the best, it helped bring the wind through and gave relief. It was still hell, but it was the only thing I felt gave her actual relief. We still use the baby massage to calm her down or if she's had some wind inducing cabbage for tea.

Oh Traws, my sincere sympathy. Both mine had horrible colic, DS for the first 5 months & DD for the first 3 months. I was more chillled with DD as she was my 2nd & on a couple of very fraught evenings after she had her first jabs, I did resort to calpol too.
DS just screamed every evening for the best part of 6 hours for the first 5 months of his life. I took him to the GP (check for reflux), health visitor, midwife, cranial osteopath, baby massage classes, homeopath & I tried every single over the counter remedy. None of it worked. The only thing that used to soothe him was to be up over someone's shoulder & walked around. The carpets were quite literally worn threadbare after 5 months!!!!
It honestly will pass. It won't get worse now - only better.
