Recently moved onto size 3 teat although dd is nearly 8mo I have been bf and am weaning off anyway when dd feeds the teat ends becoming squashed and the actual bit that's sucked ends up getting pushed in on itself and I'm constantly having to take the bottle out of Dds mouth for it to go back to normal. Anyone know what the reason could be? In wondering if it's the teat size?

Not sure, but have you thought about just moving straight onto an anyway up cup? They still get the suck they like, but the spout is hard and they can't push it back in. I moved my DS onto bottles when he finished BF, but with my DD (at about 6 months) I didn't bother and went straight to a cup. Seemed more faffing to do bottles. Hth.

my dd does this occasionally, not the teat size my dd is on size 4, it doesnt always happen sometimes it just to do with the seal about the teat and bottle ring i think.

what bottles do you use, i use avent.

It's the vacuum in the bottle that does it. If you make sure the vent in the teat isn't blocked or sealed, and the ring done up but not too tight, it should be fine.
