When did you get yours back? Baby will be 13 months on Friday and still not back yet...

Didn't get as far as having one but conceived DC2 when DS was 13 months

MotherPanda · 07/03/2012 19:14

Mine came back when dd was 1month old, and then went away again when she was 4 months, still no period at 7 months...

Odd body mine is (please don't tell me I could be pregnant - don't want to hear it!)

flagnogbagnog · 07/03/2012 19:30

Immediately with ds1, i mean exactly 28 days after delivery. Not until 9 months with DD and the 6 months with DS2. My sil has been tandem feeding her girls since the second was born nearly 3yrs ago and hers still are not back. I wondered if this was because if the sheer amount she is feeding?

suburbophobe · 07/03/2012 19:32

My sister got pregnant breast-feeding - twice!

Just saying....

YankNCock · 07/03/2012 19:38

Not till DS was 16 months, and I think that was only because I had a 5 day break from breastfeeding due to being in hospital with food poisoning the month before.

MrsNoggin · 07/03/2012 19:39

Mine showed up about a month after DD1 got fed up with working for her milk and swapped for a cup, at about 7 or 8 months. DD2 is still going at nearly 9 months and they haven't made a reappearance. Apart from a pretend one after a morning after pill debacle.

pearlgirl · 07/03/2012 20:34

About a year with ds1, none between ds2 and ds3 - there is a 21 month gap also had a miscarriage in this time so was definitely ovulating, can't remember about after ds3 and 13 months after ds4.

sanam2010 · 07/03/2012 20:47

dd is 17 months and still nothing - even though we're separated 12-13 hours during the day while i am at work - she still bf evening, night and early morning though. also waiting for it though i really like it this way!

tickle33 · 07/03/2012 20:53

almost exactly 28 days from the birth of my DD, and then every 28 days onwards. Once I stopped BF then my periods went back to their usual unpredictable non pattern. It was odd, the most regular I've been in my life was when I was BF.

OPeaches · 07/03/2012 21:00

DD will be 1 in a week and still no period.

Tarlia · 07/03/2012 22:24

It's crazy how Much it varies from person to person.

I like it this way too, but every cramp I think 'today's the day'. I'd hate to be caught out!

Have you read Kellymom? The range is about 6 weeks - 42 months. If you feed responsively, co-sleep etc, the average is 14.6 months.

Mine returned at almost 23 months post partum.

WoTmania · 08/03/2012 12:26

well, I didn't have any between pregnancies but had they come back it would have been roughly 9 months with DS1, 12 months with DS2 and DD was 19 months when they came back (after 5.6 years :( I wish I could have another baby just for another couple of peiod free years)

WoTmania · 08/03/2012 12:27

Oh and I was 'still' BF when I ovulated/period came back rather than stopping BF and period coming back

Janoschi · 08/03/2012 22:20

Mine started really inconveniently on Xmas Eve when DD was 7 months, probably because she started eating lots of proper food at that point. Though I'm still waiting for the last one....

DrCoconut · 08/03/2012 23:05

This is all quite a relief to me. DS2 is nearly 11m and no periods yet. I was starting to wonder as I'm sure they came back sooner after DS1 (it was 13 years ago so can't remember properly).

mrsalwaysawake · 08/03/2012 23:13

7 months, still BFing, and still feeding at night too, so feeling a bit cheated!

Melpomene · 08/03/2012 23:15

14 months with dd1. 12 months with dd2.

MrDarcysShirt · 09/03/2012 10:22

A couple of weeks after I stopped feeding in the night (I still express before I go to bed though), when he was four months.

lolajane2009 · 09/03/2012 21:43

baby was 5 weeks old... was not amused tbh

CheeringBell · 12/03/2012 13:42

Mine returned when Ds was 9 months, his demand for milk dropped when weaning got underway. I was having text book 28 day periods since until he was ill and breastfed all the time and now I'm getting them every 2 weeks! I'm really hoping they settle as we want to ttc soon.

vanillacremebrulee · 12/03/2012 14:24

I think I may have mine already even though DS is only 5 weeks old and I'm ebf! I'm not even sure that it's a period because the lochia only stopped completely 1 week ago! SadSad
Is there any way of knowing if it is or it isn't?

rrreow · 12/03/2012 14:43

DS is 10 months and still nothing.
