adding ebm to the bag

Hello, today i have expressed a small amount of milk into a milk storage bag and put in fridge, i have just expressed another small amount (100ml) can i add this to the bag i did earlier or is it best to leave them seperate? thanks xx

As far as I know, in theory it's safe to add to the bag, as long as you use the 'older' milk as your guide as to how long it's been in there for.

However, it's not advisable to add 'warm' milk to chilled milk, so I'd recommend keeping it separate at least until it has come to the same temperature before mixing.
