How often do you feed your 8 month old?

DD will be 8 months next week, she is BF and we're doing BLW. We feed on demand and have done from the start but an average day just now would be something like: Breastfeeds around 6am, 9am, (sometimes a quick feed at 11am), 1pm, 4pm, 6.30pm, 10.30pm, then one or two night feeds. It feels like she's still feeding quite a lot, I'm happy with this and don't really want to do anything to change it but am just curious whether this is typical. So how often do you feed your 8 month old?

I have a 9 month old and I'm feeding to a similar pattern - also BLW.

6:30, 8am (sometimes he drops this one), 10:30, 2pm, 6:30 and then once or twice in the night.

Health visitor has told me that it's far too much and I should be giving him more solids instead. I don't go to the health visitor any more, for this reason.

at 8 months ds2 was feeding every 45-90 minutes day and night Hmm

ds3 was feeding probably 2 hourly roughly during the day and then 2 or 3 night feeds.

Thanks for the replies, I don't know anyone with a similar age DC who is BF on demand so it's good to have something to compare to, glad we're 'normal' :)

nancerama I avoid the HVs too, although for different reasons :)
