I'm away with work overnight for the first time tonight. DS wakes around 3 times a night., at least 2 times for a big feed. Co sleeps from about midnight.

DO can get him off to sleep fine, but I always deal with the night wakings.

They'll be fine won't they!?

Hope so! Let me know how you get on - am considering how it would work if I left my 19 month old over night, who has a night feed probably every other night.

I'm leaving my 18 monther for first time on sat - she feeds every other night-ish......I think they will all be fine - if they are truly hungry they can eat solids and drink water. It's just 1 night :-)

So... In summary, everyone was fine.

DS went to bed fine, woke up at 11 (normal) and then was awake and upset until12:30 (not so normal!). Then whined on and off until 3. Apparently. Although this is from DP who can sleep through anything, even while co sleeping!

DS refused all drinks offered in the night but drank in the morning. Had an early nap and was fine.

I had to do more hand expressing than I had expected and was fit to burst when I got home.

I'm away in another month so am thinking of restricting night feeds a bit more before then, I'd imagine that it'll be easier if you already have infrequent night wakings.
