Hi, my ds is 13 weeks and has always been a good feeder and put on weight weel. He is noe formula fed and usually will eat 5-6 hours every 2 1/2 to 4 hours in the day with a dream feed at 11 and might feed anywhere between 2 and 4am. Then usually he'll have brekky between 7 and 8. For past few days he seems to be eating less and less in the day sometimes only taking 3 ounces from a bottle... Sometimes he finishes it a bit later sometimes not. I fed him last night at 2am and then tried to feed him at 7.30 thinking he would definitely be hungry and he hatdly had any. Then waited another 4 hours and again only had about 4 ounces. This isnt really like him. He is still finishing his bottles at night though. He has definitely starting teething, can this affect feeding? Im a bit befuddled by it and a bit worried. Anyone got any ideas about why this might be?

Ta x

If he's teething, sucking on the bottle may be hurting his gums. Rub a bit of teething gel onto them and let them numb a bit before you start and see if that helps.

How are you gettin on now Roz? Have you tried the teething gel and has it had any effect?
