Just made fresh bottle and chilled for ds only to find he's back asleep- can I put it in the fridge and heat when he wakes??
This has happened the last few nights and us costing a fortune in wasted formula so if ok to use I will, if not I won't!
I know there seems to be loads of conflicting advice on this so just wondered what you'd do
Ds is 10mo btw
Thanks

The advice isn't conflicting but many chose the level of risk they are willing to take, and many more aren't aware of current advice so do something different.

If you've just made it up from fresh then you could chill it and keep it in the fridge (back of the bottom shelf) with the sterile lid over the teat, or the sterile screw lid on for up to 24hrs. It is better to prepare fresh each time, as bacteria can grow slowly in the fridge, but provided you followed the instructions and used hot water fresh from the kettle within 30 mins, a sterile bottle and you didn't let the baby start drinking the bottle or keep it at room temp then the risk is small.
