Boobs after breastfeeding

Hi

I have stopped breastfeeding this week having fed my dd for 7 months, which I never ever thought I would do. Over the past few weeks I have decreased the feeds, and now, as I am returning to work, I have stopped altogether.

There is still a small amount of milk if I squeeze but my question is about the shape and feel of my boobs.

I was only an A cup before and my boobs now are so tiny and really saggy. They have no substance to them and they feel like jelly.

Is this normal, and is this how they will be going forward now, or will they firm up a bit when the milk stops altogether?

Thanks x

sounds pretty normal at this stage. They will firm up a bit in a few weeks when the milk settles, but my best advice is get some good bras - it was what saved my sanity :)

Hi, it's pregnancy not bf that does that to your boobs. Your breasts grow in order to produce the milk whether you bf or not Smile I think it depends on your age. Some people find they fill out a bit. Mine seem very floppy now but I am wizened mature Wink Good bras are the answer (or scaffolding in my case Hmm)

I agree, I was shocked when mine felt like jelly. I was asking every woman I come across what theirs felt like after birth and feeding. The good news is they did eventually firm up. So don't worry.

Agree that its pregnancy that does that to your boobs, nothing to do with how you've fed your baby. I was an A cup and once the last DC was weaned and my boobs settled down I'm a B cup so you might be happily surprised in a month or so Smile.

Well done for bfing for longer than you thought too.
