My first three were bottled fed my last breastfed until 14 months.
My new baby is 2 days old, she was 6 pounds 1. At dirt she was very sleepy because she couldn't keep her temp up then she started getting jaundiced and wouldn't wake to feed. My last baby was great no problems latching or feeding a little sore at first but fine. This time it's only been two days and I am sitting here in tears,m y nipples are bleeding, my baby just had to have bloo tests for he jaundice which was awful she screamed the place down. And I have just fed her her first bottle. I feel really shitty . I don't even know what I want now. She is awake for the first time in 24 hours after just one feed

:(

If you don;t want to ff, then you need to find someone on the spot - right there in the maternity unit - so you can discuss it. Tell them your nipples are bleeding. Tell them how bad you feel. And get good help to bf comfortably and effectively..maybe hand expressing colostrum if your dd cant quite do it yet.

There will be someone in charge of infant feeding - find 'em :)

agree with tiktok - you need to ask for help, and don't give up till you get it.
nag and cry if you need to.
they can't leave you like this.

my dd (my first) had physiological jaundice, i was made to feel like a weirdo for wanting to bf (as they couldn't measure fluids she was gettingHmm i expressed in the neo natal ward and kept this up for 5 days before cracking and giving into ff. Breastmilk as you know is best, get Lansinoh for your nipples, I found it great with a huge difference in just a few hours. so sorry for all stress...
