9 mo old losing weight (I think)

I haven't had chance to get DS weighed since I started thinking he looked/felt a bit thinner this week, as I've got the flu, but it really feels to me like he's lost some weight in the last few days which has panicked me somewhat! I noticed his cloth nappies were a lot easier to fasten and could do up tighter than before.

then it struck me that because I have flu and am not eating much myself, could that be affecting the quality of my breastmilk? Since Saturday I've only eaten about 1/4 of what I normally do. He's on 3 milk feeds a day and 3 solid meals.

When I last had him weighed 3 weeks ago he was following his centile curve as normal..obviously I'll get him checked as soon as I can but wondered whether babies do ever lose a bit of weight at this stage? Should I try re-offering a milk feed? Or can I do anything to boost my supply/quality of milk? He dropped the mid-morning feed at about 8 months and would drop the afternoon one if I didn't offer it, but I figure he still needs that for a while.

Illness can casue a short drop in supply but doesn't effect quality of milk. You could offer an extra feed if worried, but baby's do and can grow up and thinner. So it could be he's had a bit of a growth spurt upwards and has therefore thinned out, is he more mobile then he has been.

I would panic if you haven't had him weight and he seems otherwise healthy and allert in himself.

DS plateaued and got taller and more muscular, less pudgy, around 9 months.
