DS is 6mo and EBF. His fourth tooth came through last week and since then feeding has been agony. He's not biting me (we nipped that in the bud when the first ones came through!) but seems to be grazing the top of my nipple each time he feeds. One boob literally has a blister on it and I now have to squeeze a pillow and repeat 'This too will pass, this too will pass' during each feed. I've tried changing position, which definitely helps, but now I'm worried that I'm just going to end up grazing all round my nipple rather than just in one spot iyswim. Anyone had this? How did you solve it? I cried to DP last night that I just can't do it any more, but we don't have any other option as DS won't take a bottle and isn't weaned yet (and anyway, I'd planned to carry on feeding until DS didn't want/need it any more) Help? Please?

There are some tips here from kellymom, about halfway down the page.
I had trouble too when DS's top teeth came through though he never broke the skin. It did seem to get better on it's own to an extent, he probably just adjusted his latch, but I still get sore sometimes if he has a long feed (he's nearly 18 months!) If you're desperate maybe you could try nipple shields? Although he probably won't like them!
