35 weeks pg, is this ok?

I had none of this with DC1, so wondered if this is all ok? ( Ok, I am secretly hoping it means the baby is coming sooner rather than later....as it's a big 'un Grin)

For the last week my breasts have started to really change. My nipples are so so sore and tender, and every hour or so I get this strange sensation like an electric shock going through my breasts. I am also producing a few drops of milk too, and am wearing breast pads.

Anyone else had/heard of this?

TIA

That sounds like the let down reflex. I used to get that sensation whenever DD started to feed.

I don't know if it means your baby will be arriving any sooner, but I'd not go far without the pads in!

Thank you babyheave. yes, it does feel like a let down reflex.

Nope, I am with pads at all times, and the hospital bag is packed and ready to go. Smile

Yup, had it in both pregnancies from around 30 weeks, bit earlier with ds. It was my breasts gearing up for bfing I assume. Was always more noticeable in cold weather actually.

DD born at 39 weeks, ds at 37 so it meant very little.

Funny about the cold weather, it started happening as soon as we had this cold spell.

I could do 37 weeks!
