I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with my baby. My DD is 3 months old, tonight like quite a few other nights we have had full on screaming sessions after bedtime. My poor baby has been sobbing , it breaks my heart to see her like this and I dont know what to do to make it better. I fed her around 7ish and put her to bed about 8. She was awake when I put her to bed and after 5 mins or so fast asleep. She stayed asleep for about an hour and a half, woke up and seemed hungry so I fed her (breast fed) after a short while she started to fuss and pull away and then began to cry, the crying escalated into full screaming. I dont know if its wind, I did try to burp but it was hard as she was so agitated. She eventually fell to sleep after I rocked her in the nursing chair but when i tried to put her down the screaming re-started. its taken me 7 attempts and over 2 hours before she has gone back to sleep in moses basket. each time I tried to put her down she woke up straight away and cried, she was obv very tired because as soon as I picked her back up she stopped and went straight to sleep. This seems to be happening every few nights and getting worse. Do anyone have any idea if this is reflux ? or trapped wind ? Am I making it worse by offering breast feed when she first wakes up ? Is there anything i can do to make her better ? Its awful to see my baby in pain

Has this only just started or has she always been like this? I used to give my dentinox if it seemed she was disgruntled or had problems having a burp.

No it seems to have only started happening within last 2/3 weeks or so and seems to be getting more frequent. It also now occasionally happens during the day

Some of what you describe sounds similar to what we've been going through with our DD. Her issues started just after 4 months (she's now one week shy of 5 months). I've made some progress and seen improvements but still figuring things out long term. See my post today here. Have you tried Colief? It's very pricey but in Scotland we can sometimes get it on minor ailments.

i would see your health visitor or doctor if it seems prolonged. It might be nothing and she just has a problem bringing up her wind. Or it could be reflux. Have you made any changes to your diet recently as maybe she's reacting to something you've eaten.
Can I ask if when she fall asleeps on you does she stay asleep for a long time or does she wake up on you in pain?
If it was me I'd book an appointment tomorrow and see what they say just to give you some peace of mind. I hope you get a better night tonight.
