HELP bleeding when I bf my 2 year old

It started last night in one breast. Dd doesn't seem to be bothered by it - seems to prefer the taste. Is this serious? Has anyone else experienced it? TIA

I've had this. It was checked out by a bf advisor and breast surgeon. It was explained to me that although bf is completely natural, it can sometimes result in a little bit of vascular damage inside the breast which can lead to bleeding.A little bit like the way blood vessels sometimes burst in your eye if you've been sick. It does baby no harm (they usually bring up a little blood in sick or seen in black bits in their nappy), and usually goes away by itself. If it continues for a long time then I'd go and get it checked out but a bit here and there shouldn't be too much of a worry.
