WTAF is happening boob-wise?

I gave my baby colostrum in hospital, then moved onto bottles after three days. That was seven and a half weeks ago. My milk came in a day or two after bottle feeding started, and I had engorgement and leakage for around a week. Since then, boobs totally normal. However, over the last four/five days, boobs have been tingling, sort of like the start of pins and needles, on and off all day. They also started leaking a little bit yesterday and today.

Is this normal?? Hmm am wondering how, after 7 weeks of no milk, I can suddenly be leaking it.

The pins and needles is let down although I have no reason why it would make a comeback,

Ahh, everyone talks about let down and the feeling, so at least now I know what it feels like!

Am very Hmm as to why it is appearing. Didnt get the feelings when my milk went weeks ago.

Is it happening at certain times, say when you are holding baby, thinking about baby, bathing baby?

Let down is controlled by Oxytocin (the 'love' hormone) so if you are feeling very loved up towards baby (which is, at least partially, hormone driven) you may get other physical effects of that wave of love.

Oxytocin is also released on skin to skin contact (could be baby or partner - it's the same hormone), orgasm, eating with loved ones, even feeling warmth and satiety after a good meal so it may happen at times unrelated to baby too.

It can happen at the strangest of times. I was on the bus home with baby and I had letdown. It always seems to be same happen on the same bus route too! Confused
