My periods have disappeared, but i'm not pregnant....Any ideas please?

Hi, I'm looking for advice or similar stories as I'm confused, and a little bit worried too!

DS2 is now 7 months old, he's been BF since birth, and is now enjoying a mix of solids and BF.

My periods returned 3 months ago. The first one was my normal type one, 7 days, heavier at first fading out to light. The second month was exactly the same, the third one however has not appeared! Although it would be very slim chances, I have done two pregnancy tests, one when I was 3 days late, and one now at 5 days late both of which are negative

My only line of thinking is that we've all been really poorly with this cold bug that is going around, especially poor DS2, who copped it badly. He BF (mainly for comfort ) every night for 5 days. Is it this that has confused my body and sent my periods away?

My friends have found that the night feeds have been the key things in whether their periods come back/start up again, so I suspect it is the night feeds.

My friend had this recently - she skipped a period when she was giving night feeds whilst away abroad, which she wouldn't usually do. so I suspect it probably is the night feeds.

Ah thanks for that M2S... It was all I could think of apart from the obvious..

I can see my DH's colour returning to his face now!! I think he's been holding his breath since last Wednesday! You've made his night!
