I've never had much success expressing. It's not my supply that's the issue, I just can't seem to get the milk out successfully. I have tried the ameda and the Medela electric pumps. Is there a better one? Could it be becuuse I am an H cup and have satellite dishes for areola at the moment?! Surely one size doesn't fit all...?

Can't help sorry Cold as I had the opposite problem. Thought this might bump it for you though Smile.

Thanks. Maybe I should discount the one that works best for you!

Some of the brands do different sized 'breast shields'. Medela is one of them but I'm pretty sure there are others.

Having the right sized shield makes all the difference. Also remember it is a learnt response to get let down for a machine. Lots of people find pumping whilst feeding their baby or looking at him/her or smelling their clothes helps. For me concentrating on the tingly feeling in the nipple whilst reading about feeding on here really works.

Well the Avent Isis was worse than useless for me and the Ameda Lactaline was great.
