Dulcoease while bf???

TMI alert possibly!

I have very painful anal fissures and my mum's given me some Dulcoease. It says on the box not to use when bf but I really need something! Hasanyone used while bf? Is it just the company being overly cautious or are there real risks?

I did, post baby I became desperate when got to day 8 and nothing despite a whole bottle of lactulose my GP friend recommended taking them. Baby was fine didn't seem to make any difference to her.

For an anal fissure you would probably be better with a softener like lactulose though

Thank you. I will be making an appt to see gp when the surgery is open tomorrow but I have the Dulcoease now. Whilst I don't expect it to work miracles at least I'll feel like I'm doing something and that knowledge will hopefully make it easier to go. I'll be less scared about it anyway.

Is lactulose prescription or can I get it from chemist?
