Is this normal? Aching under arms after stopping bfing

My 11mo Ds has self weaned :-( completely from having two feeds a day. That was 4 weeks ago and I'm now experiencing an aching under my armpit in my left boob. It feels sore and bruised. Is this normal?

It could be a plugged duct/mastitis brewing in the axilliary tail (part of the breast tissue stretches out to the armpit). Is there any redness or swelling? Or is it 'just' tender and sore?
