My ds is 16 weeks and wakes twice in the night for a feed - about 11.00 and 3.00 ish - he takes 5-10 minutes to feed (he's bf) but takes an hour to burp and resettle each time which I'm finding quite tiring.

He won't resettle without a burp unless it's an hour after he's fed and even if he has burped he will go to sleep on me but wake if I put him back in the cot unless again it's an hour later. Any ideas on how i can solve this?

Are my expectations too high that he might go back down quicker?

Not sure I have any advice to offer really but just to say I'm in the same situation. My dd is 4 weeks old ( I realise v. young). At night it takes me 20mins to feed & change then at least an hour to re-settle. She thinks it's fun time and is all smiley!

I just spend ages rocking her - it's a pain!
