I was wondering if anyone had any sample routines that I could try to follow for my DD (5 and a half months) I am trying to wean her now because she hasn't increased the amount of milk she has since she was two months old Confused and I figured she could use some more calories.
Our old routine was 4oz formula every 3 hours but since I've been giving her vegetables and fruit she is just having a few oz here and there which is a bit tricky to maintain IYSWIM.
At the moment it is as follows - 5-6am wake up - drink an oz or two
7-ish- sleep
9 -have some gluten free cereal or fruit
12- 2/3oz milk
3- 3/4 oz milk
4.30 - vegetables
6pm - 5 oz milk
10pm - 6oz (dream feed)
i have tried to get her to drink more milk but even before I started giving her solids she never took more than 4 oz at a time unless she was asleep or it was the last feed of the day.
Her weight gain has been fine, I just don't want her to miss out on any of the nutrients in the milk!
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I used gina fords weaning book. v handy for timings round food. hard to post times as, as the amount of solids increase, and baby gets older, they change. think your issue might be the three hourly milk feeds. try moving them to four hourly. the times your using look similar to the baby whisperer so maybe google her. not used it myself but had a friend who really liked it. she also explains how to move from a 3 to 4 hourly routine.

Hope that helps x
