Hi I just stopped taking antibiotics for mastitis which has gone now, but I am ow getting a sharp shooting pain in my breast after feeding? Could this be thrush? Ds is 5 weeks old. If so what causes thrush and should I go to the docs? Any advice appreciated.

I'd say yes. Thrush is quite common after antibiotics. Definitely go to the docs and make sure you both get treated, even if baby shows no signs, as you just pass it back between each other. Best thing for you to take it Fluconazole orally and rub canesten onto your nips after feeding, and baby will probably get an oral suspension. It is agonizing so you have my utmost sympathy! Good luck...
