How many feeds in a day does your 2/3mo have?
Do they take one breast or two and are these spaced at all?

My 11wo eats every 3 hours in the day then 10.30pm and 6/7am (although occasional wake up at 3 or 5.

She always has one breast but usually refuses the other although today I gave her a 30 min space and she had the second.

What are your experiences? Thanks!

Hi Terrys

12 week old DS has seven or eight feeds a day, every two or three hours.

DS is bad at taking the hind milk at times and so I offer the other breast which he takes half of (well, that's how I see it anyway - one and a half boobs per feed!)

He's being at be funny at the moment though so sometimes I give him a half an hour breather too and he will sometimes go back on.

I'm new at this but from the advice others have given me here the most important thing is lots of wet nappies and healthy weight gain.

Hope this helps Smile

at 2 months she was doing 2 hourly in the day between 7am / 7pm

then a 11pm /midnight-ish feed and a 3am ish feed (i think)

By 3 months she was doing 7am / 10am and then 2 hourly from 12 / 1ish with her last feed (bottle of expressed milk at 6.30, and a breast feed about 5.30pm ish), and then waking twice

by 3.5 months as above but waking once at about 2.30am

4 months she was having 10 / 11 feeds per 24 hours (often 3 at night)

now at 4.5 months she feed 5 breast feeds between 7 and 7, and sometimes just 1 wake a night
