Starting to drop feeds

DD is now almost 9 weeks old. The last two nights she has instead of going to sleep at 1130 and then waking up for feeds at 0200, 0500, 0800, 0930/1000 has instead slept through until 0330, 0730, 1000. My boobs were almost bursting when she did want a feed as she had effectively dropped a couple of feeds so I had to express a bit off to feel comfortable.

She is not eating as much during the day too and sleeping a bit more. She is still doing the required dirty / wet nappies and happy when she's awake.

However, today she had a feed at 1pm and she's dozed on and off since then and DH has also tried to give her a bottle of EBM but she's still not really convinced by them.

I guess I already know the answer but do babies start to drop feeds at this early a stage and is it ok? Also do babies go through sleep spurts as well?

Babies do all kinds of weird stuff. Remember as she gets older she will be able to take more milk, more quickly as her suck gets stronger, her tummy gets bigger.

Keep offering when you see hunger signs (see here) and keep an eye on nappies, her skin looks healthy and she has some alert content times and she is gaining weight - don't worry if it doesn't follow the red book curve exactly.
