Hot Flushes

I am breastfeeding my 5 month old. For the past week at the same time every evening I have had a hot flush - feel hot with bright red cheeks but no fever. Can this be due to low oestrogen levels when breastfeeding. Has anyone else had this? Thanks

Hi, I can't link to any useful studies as I am in bed! :) but just wanted to say that I have spoken to other women who have experienced this so you are not alone x

Thanks a lot, was worrying this was something more serious but it kind of makes sense now. Was at GP's today for something else and mentioned this and she was a bit stumped

Period has just started for 1st time since having baby and flushes must be pre-menstrual - never happened before baby. Is this common? Thanks :)

Hi - just reading this as the same thing is happening to me - hhg, did this sort itself out for you?

Anyone got any tips as to how to manage this as I look like I've been in a sauna and am going out with the girls tomorrow evening?
