Baby biting me when i breastfeed

Help! My baby is 8 months old and has 2 front teeth. She has had teeth for a while but only started biting me yesterday. She takes formula and solids so it won't be the end of the world if I stop feeding but I had hoped to b/f until she's at least 12 months. She seems to find it very funny when she bites! Any suggestions?

She's just doing it to see what happens. It's a bit of fun for her, not for you though as it hurts like hell. I used to put ds on the floor for a few minutes when he did this. The 'if you bite me you will get no milk' worked very well. I did feel a little mean though. It's important to keep calm and not to react at all.

I've yelped out loud a few times which probably hasn't helped! She's a very jolly baby who likes a good laugh, and this is her latest amusement.
I will post again to let you know how it goes. Ouch....

Sad Poor you. It's really easy, don't say anything, just place her on the floor and don't look at her. Leave her there for a minute, then try again. Every time she bites you put her on the floor. It will sink in. Smile

DD started doing this the other day. She has top and bottom two so it bloody hurt. I did as I know I should and took her off the breast and told her firmly no she must not bite Mummy. I put her back on and didnt the little blighter bite me again. Just to show me who's boss. Grin but also [ouch]
