DS almost 11 months and bfs 4-5 times a day plus 1 bottle ebm (100mls which he rarely finishes) when he goes to bed. My question-he bfs for less than 1-2 mins each time. I can feel let-down and he sucks for about 30 secs then comes off. My friend suggested he needs more milk at this stage so am wondering what to do. He has a healthy appetite otherwise-eats well (I bf before giving him food) and has 2 healthy snacks. His weight is good-between 75th and 91st centile so should I just carry on as I am? My instinct tells he as long as he's gaining weight and appears (on the whole) happy and healthy there is no problem. But I don't think he's getting much milk :s

Older babies get a lot in a short time, ebmummy so he could be getting a good amount in that minute or so :)

I don't think your friend can have a clue what he is and isn't getting and what he does and doesn't need.

He sounds fine.
