My 4 month old DD is feeding for half the amount of time at each feed. Earlier she used to feed for 30-35 mins at an interval of about 2.5/3 hrs and of late its become 15 mins or so. She is gaining weight marginally but stillis an active baby. Any thoughts/advise ?

I am no expert but I believe babies get more efficient at feeding so take less time. I was told when DD was in neonatal that feeding for longer than 20mins is more about comfort sucking and stimulating the breast to make more milk.

Someone much more knowledgable will be along shortly I'm sure!

I would agree with the last post that dd is becoming more efficient, it was around 4mnths that my dd started taking less time at the breast, now at 6mo she probably takes a full feed in 15min. If everything seems ok and dd is satisfied and gaining weight then I wouldn't worry.
