HI
I am just about to move from BF to FF for health reasons, DS is almost 6 weeks old I BF DD exclusively so haven't a clue about FF, can you amke feeds up in advance or not? I read conflicting advice, health professionals versus mums who do it everyday...what is the best way to go about FF I really need your help as am so confused!!!
I am also having to use colief at moment so have to add that 30 mins before feeding...anyone have experience in this too???

Is it your health? If you need to take medication please check with the BfN helpline first that it isn't compatable with BF. HPC's can sometimes recomend you stop when you don't need to.

naomi, your HV should be able to give you a step by step leaflet on how to mix formula powder. If you have your Birth to 5 book it is in there.

If you have to stop bf, you need to do it gradually.

You can call any of the helplines to help work out a plan.

Agree with Mig - sometimes women are wrongly told they have to stop bf. If you don't want to, there is prob an alternative.
