VERY sore breast!

I'm a new mum, breastfeeding for 11weeks so far and my right breast is SO sore!

I've had no real problems with breastfeeding so far but the onset of this pain was SO sore I couldn't rest my arm against my breast. No redness or change in temperature as with mastitis. . .

My nipple feels like it's being ripped off when my daughter feeds :(

anyone shed any light on what could be causing/help this?

maybe oral thrush in you baby's mouth? Does it feel like a really sharp stinging sensation and sore to feed? I've had a bit of bother with my son and this but go see your GP, they will help. Don't suffer in silence x

I know it shouldn't be like this - I don't see any thrush-like symptoms
will definitely book with a GP
thanks x

Do you have a hard lump anywhere? I've had this and think it's a blocked duct. Too painful to hold dd on that side and also made the nipple really sore when feeding. My solution was a hot water bottle on the breast (the sore lumpy bit) just before a feed and feeding in different positions, ie under arm, lying down etc. Good luck.
