Tooth Whitening, not whilst feeding...eeek too late!

Stupidly, I missed the bit of small print that said not to use my tooth whitening kit whilst breast feeding. Does anyone know why it isn't recommended and what will it do to my 4 month old? I've been using it for about a week of the recommended 14 days.
Thanks

Apparently there is little research into teeth whitening & bfing but the pharmacist who prepared this doesn't think it is unsafe.

For the teeth whitening solution to be unsafe, enough of the harmful substance would have to be absorbed by your body, be present in your blood, be of a suitable size to pass into BM (molecular weight under 300), and be present in a big enough quantity to be harmful to your baby.

Approx 1-2% of medicine is present in BM (conditions do apply though and some can't be present in BM and some do accumulate) so how much of the teeth whitening stuff would have to be absorbed? If it's enough to make baby ill through consuming BM, then it would be more than enough to make you ill too - given that you would poss have 98-99% of it left in your body......

Thank you so much. I will go and read the article but sounds like she should be ok!
