Milk coming in again?

Hi, my DS is 4 1/2 months and has recently been feeding a lot extra especially through the night. Think its the 4 month growth spurt plus sleep regression, oh joy.

However yesterday and today my boobs are so sore, just like when milk first came in at the start. They are really lumpy and doesnt matter how long he feeds, they stay huge and lumpy.

DH is very happy as I have 'porn star breasts again' yay?!

Any experience of this?

Thanks

It sounds like the additional feeds have encouraged your breasts to produce more milk than usual. I have had this happen especially after a child upped their feeds during to an illness and then quickly reduced the number of feeds again.

Just keep an careful eye on your breasts, watch for any red patches or tenderness etc.

It should subside over the next few days. If you are very uncomfortable, try hand expressing a small amount of milk.
