Is this thrush?

About 24 hrs ago I got little red spots round the base of both my nipples. BFing had been quite painful on my right aide for about a week and I thought it was just a lazy/bad latch. However now my left breast is hurting and the pain is get toe-curling on both breasts. My nipples are red and very tender to touch. DS has also got white film at the back of his tongue.

If it is thrush is there anything I can do or get over the counter while waiting for a doctor's appointment as the pain IA getting worse.

You need a dr appt ASAP - you have my sympathies as if it is thrush it is agony!!

Thanks Pink! Yes I've had a read and as with all these things we have some symptoms and not others. My instinct says it is (even though I have never had thrush vaginal or otherwise). I just can't see what else it could be.
