Hi
Where to start...

My DD is almost 7 weeks old. She has been feeding brilliantly since birth and is gaining weight. Ever since birth she makes some really strange grunting/growling/thrutching noises after every feed. I mentioned to HV and GP and they said it was normal. She is always a bit sicky after each feed but in the last 2 weeks this has greatly increased and she is now regularly throwing up a clear-ish liquid. Could this be acid reflux? Is it painful? I remember heartburn during pregnancy and I found that really difficult to cope with.

Also, for the past 2 days I've been getting a sharp pain in one nipple - this hurts even more when she latches on and lasts for about 5 mins into the feed. There is no cracked skin. My DD's tongue is white tho. Could this be thrush? I know the latch is fine as I'm a pro at BF!!

I noticed today that one of her back gums is a very strange yellow colour - could this be linked to thrush or reflux?

Just to add to matters, last weekend I felt really under the weather with flu like symptoms, dizziness etc. Felt much better yesterday but today I woke up covered in a rash. Does this sound like a virus and could this be linked to any of DD's 'problems'? I'm currently on iron tablets cos was anaemic so perhaps my iron level could have dipped again...oh I don't know!

I'm hoping to get an app with the GP tomorrow but just wondered what your views are first.

Thanks

x
