Daughter is just over 9 months and used to drink milk (SMA) like it was going out of fashion but the last week or so she has lost interest. She'll always drink 8oz when she wakes in the morning and used to have 2 more 8oz bottles but recently she's only been having 4oz at lunch and bedtime. Last night she refused her bottle. Today she had 8oz when she woke up,had 1oz at lunch and has just refused her bedtime bottle. She eats very well, a varied diet soI'm not too concerned but thought they were still supposed to have about 16oz a day at this age.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks

No suggestions, dd was the same except she never liked her milk! I just made sure she had plenty of calcium in her diet etc and kept offering the milk. She is now 18mo and still doesn't really like it.

Sounds like your daughter prefers food to yucky milk (I don't like it either!)

It could be a phase, my dd (now 9 months) went off her milk at about 7 months and only in the last week or 2 drinks her 20oz a day.

My advice would be to persist, give her more smaller bottles (PITA) if you can add the milk to her food then great, and things like yoghurt and cheese etc will give her some of the nutrients needed. good luck.

Ok great, Thanks. I guess they know what they want and need so will continue to offer a small amount at lunch and bedtime and see what happens. I don't blame her not wanting it....smells gross ;)
