How much EBM should a 10wo be drinking at a time?

I know this is a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string?' questions, but DD is finally, reluctantly, taking EBM from a bottle occasionally. However, she never takes more than 30mls at a time, then just kind of plays with the teat and won't suck any more. That's not enough, surely? I'm worried that if I go out and leave her with DH for a couple of hours, she'll be starved by the time I get back.

(We're using a Medea Calma teat - we tried a slow flow Tommee Tippee bottle, but even with that, she took no more than 30mls, and then vomited it straight back up in a glorious arc across the sofa.)

If she's only having the occasional bottle of ebm, and you are due back soon when you leave her, it doesn't really matter.....she will make up for anything she didn't get when you return :) It's not a concern if she is being left with your DH for a couple of hours, because by the age of 10 wks she can be cuddled and jiggled and jollied a bit while she is waiting! She definitely won't starve.

If a 10 wk oldbaby only ever took 30 mls at a time it would prob not be sufficient unless she was bf very frequently...but this is not what's happening with you and your baby.

OK, that's good to know - thanks! :)
