Hi - Can anyone help I have decided to purchase a Medela electric swing pump and wondered if the associated bottles can go in a standard sterlisers or do I also need to invest in the Medela sterliser? Thanks for any replies I am expecting my first child and trying to get my head round everything we need!

As above they can go in any brand but I'd recommend getting a Nuby one. They are always going on 1/3 off at boots and come with two Nuby bottles.

I didn't realise what a challenge it can be getting a BF baby to take a bottle of EBM. I tried a couple of bottles before remembering these were in the cupboard. They are squeezy so DH could get a few drops in her mouth to convince her it is milk and not poison as her face would suggest! I have personally found them to be superb!

I have the medala swing and think it's fab but have never been able to express much.
It'll go in any steriliser but tbh I stopped sterilising when my dd was about 10 weeks old after i found out that if it's ebm you don't need to due to the natural antibacterial properties of bm. I did make sure the equipment and bottles got a good clean and rinse though.
