Avent first cups

I've noticed that Avent do a beaker type cup with a soft spout that it claims can be used from 3m+. Is it worth trying this with my bottle fed DD during the day to get her used to cups, or is it just a ploy by Avent? Is it better to wait until weaning?

it has a non-spill valve which may hamper your lo from getting the fluids out. You could either take the valve out (although with 3 holes, the fluid might come out a bit quick) or you could buy a free flow cup e.g. tommee tippee first cup, which says suitable from 4 months:

tommee tippee first cup . These cups are widely available in supermarkets, chemists, etc
