Hi everyone,
My DS is 7 and a half months old now and has been crawling for about a month. The problem is that crawling is the new black.. He just wants to do it constantly! I started him with BLW weaning at 6 months and he took to solids really quickly - to the extent that I was worried about his milk intake. He's always been a baby that hasn't "demand' fed if there's something to distract him, so I ensured that I offered BF regularly during the day. Until the point of crawling he tended to accept when offered but now he gets really grumpy, arches his back and wants to be set on the floor when I try to feed him. I've worked it out during the last few weeks that if I offer about every 4 hours, he will take it without throwing a strop (at the moment he isn't waking at night so it's working out at just 4 feeds a day which seems too little? Although I can feel him drawing the milk in so seems he's taking big gulps!). However, during the past few days he's started crawling while feeding. I've tried feeding lying down but ended up with his bum in my face (!!) and if I try a regular cradle hold I end up grabbing his ankles to the point it feels like restraint and he starts crying (understandably so) as otherwise he'll fall off my lap. Am at my wits end! Any suggestions? He's allergic to CMP so getting no other calcium from cheese etc so I am getting stressed.
Thanks!
