Blisters!

I bf my ds who is 9mths. Every so often I get a little blister on my nipple, it bloody hurts when feeding! It usually goes within a couple of days so it's not a major problem, but was just wondering what causes this and what I should be doing to prevent it happening. I am guessing lazy latch is to blame, but sometimes it seems to happen when ds wants feeding more often than usual. Can any clever people help me? TIA

Just posted this on Miaou's thread - hope this helps!

Oh that really helps HM, the blister is clear so according to kellymom nothing serious. As I say they do tend to go within a day or two so I don't feel I really need to treat it but I was just worried that I was doing something wrong! Just noticed Miaou's thread, oops sorry you had to do the link twice.. but thank you

Oh, wasn't saying I minded doing the link twice - was just pleased that I already had it in the memory to C&P immediately

Glad it helped

Aaah - so that's what I had in those early days. Thanks for that link. I always wondered what the painful white dot that kept 'catching' was!
