Is this reflux or hunger????

I have a nearly 5 month old DD who I've exclusively BF until now. Over christmas she has become more irritable and is putting her fist in her mouth alot. She was waking once in the night but now has been waking twice. If she has more BF she seems to sick it up more. She cries in a screechy way when laid flat or even in a rocker but is happy sitting upright in my arms. I'm finding this difficult though as have poorly hips still as I had SPD and am on my own with her and DS. Can anyone offer advice, I don't know what to do. Thanks.

Is she teething? That would explain the fist sucking. I can't help with the other things, she sounds like my DD, wanting to sit upright on my lap the whole time, although she's only 2 months old! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

I'd second the suggestion of teething. Maybe feel her gums to look for any sign of it?

Her gums look fine but her tummy is really gurgling all the time and of course she has started falling asleep while feeding and then not getting wind up and then waking up. I'm going to drink more peppermint tea and see if that smooths things down. I think the crap that I've eaten over christmas has made her suffer!
