Thought I would share that Tesco have the Madela Swing pump for £45 at the moment!

I have wanted one for ages, but was reluctant to spend near enough £100 on one. After a row with hubby last night ref feeding - a long story, I nearly ordered one from mothercare for him to collect on Monday - but we looked randomly in tesco today and saw it - woohoo Xmas Wink

That is very cheap. Smile

Do bear in mind though that it's an open-system pump. This means that the milk can get into the motor, so can potentially be contaminated. (Old milk collects in the motor parts and rots.)

good point, PengPeng - i have a medela swing which would sometimes back up and then the motor got a bit dodgy. i gave up in the end and bought a philips avent hand pump. loads better actually. pretty annoying given how much the medela ones cost...

Oh no I didn't know that! I have an avent hand pump but was feeling lazy.

It's not great is it? I bought a used one on eBay and later sold it on before I knew this. Sad

I think Hygeia (not sure about spelling!) is the brand which sells closed-system pumps.

I've also found the Medela swing disappointing - I actually found their mini electric (which is much cheaper) worked much better, too.
