Nursing bras

I've been struggling with the nursing bras I've bought from M&S + mothercare, they just become misshapen, worn out and grubby in no time. The range on the high street is seriously limited! Someone recommended Bravado bras on MN and after some googling, I've just ordered one from a fab site (www.nursingBra-shop.co.uk). Should be here any day now. What have other people's experiences been?

The Sophie bras from bravissimo were the only ones that were supportive and nice looking - still doing well 10 weeks in. Tried hot milk ones as recommended on here but I didn't like the styles and colour choices were a bit limited.

Bravado were my staple. And I had this Amoralia one as my one pretty set

Yes I got this Bravado one from that website and really liked it, although it's too big for me now!

Mothercare ones were awful, boobs fell out as soon as I leant forward a tiny bit, no shape at all. The sleep bras were ok though, just like a bra top with nursing bra fasteners.

I liked the ones from the NCT shop

anita underwired. accept no substitute. at a pinch the bravado bliss one creates more shape but your tits fall out as there's no support on the top part.

i've breastfed for years in these bras and they keep their shape. not the most beautiful objects of lingerie but they are fit for purpose.

I'm not fussed about appearance as much as functionality. I totally agree, Festive, about the Mothercare ones. Nevercan, what is the NCT shop?

Nct here too. Google it.

Only bra to support my hh norks

Nevercan · 14/12/2011 21:23

It's the National Childcare Trust www.nct.org.uk. They do antenatal and postnatal support for parents amongst other things. Their bras are not necessarily the prettiest but are soft and comfy Smile

Used nursingbra-shop too. Good service and do large sizes. Only place I found an under wired nursing bra in my size. Definitely would recommend too.

Anita underwired. Absolute dogs whatsits of nursing bras. Plain and function, but make you look normal and not like a monoboobed great aunt, which is saying something for a nursing bra. And they wash well, unclip easily, etc, etc.
