Selective bottle taking

my dd has a bottle of expressed milk every other night at the 5am feed, from my dh. she has done since she was a few weeks old. She's now 12 wks and will still take a bottle at the early morning feed but will not take one at any other time. She just screams, we've tried everything feeding her in the dark to mimic night time, my dh feeding her with me there and me not there, me feeding her, begging her to take the bottle everything. Has anyone else got any experience of this or advice? I'd like to be able to go out for a few hours without her having a meltdown.

Sadly they start to be more aware at 3-4 mo and lots of babies who previously took bottles start refusing. Just keep offering and hope for the best. I gave up the fight at 5mo.

But the good news is they start getting longer between feeds really quick from 4-5mo. I can't remember when but it's before weaning, DD could go 4 to 5 hours between feeds if she's distracted. Then at 6mo they get into solids. Once you get to 3 good meals DD only take two feeds a day. You could probably even give a yoghurt instead of bf for snacks.

It might seem rough where you are now, but it pass really fast.

Oh no I hoped that wouldn't be the answer but thought it might be, we'll keep persevering and hope it passes quickly. I'm looking forward to the longer gaps between feeds, thank you for replying.
