Painful lump help please

I am on antibiotics and have to see doc tomorrow but they are concerned it could be an abcess.

It is about the size of a kiwi fruit and what I would like to know is if it is an abcess is it small enough to be drained by needle or am I looking at an op. Anyone had a similar experience?

Sorry to hear that you might have an abcess. I had an Operation (I&D) for mine that was about 3cm by 3cm. In my case they seemed more interested in getting it drained quickly than trying with needle aspiration. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question but I didn't want to read and run. Another abscess sufferer from this thread might be able to help if you ask there.
