I have just started using one and love it. It's efficient, very few parts so no washing up for ages and cheap! Apparently there's a chance the milk will enter the tube and then the engine itself - but I think it's a small chance only and they do sell an accessory that stops that happening.
Plus, you can buy an extra funnel bit and turn it into a double one.

I have used a double avent one, and have tried an ameda lactaline but the spectra is my favourite. Just make sure you start with the suction on low be because it's very strong.

Thanx. Do you know where you can get the extra part from?

I would ring anawiz.com that distribute the pump and ask, can't find it myself at the moment...

and it's on this page www.spectrapumps.co.uk/shop/Accessories.html

I couldn't get on with the spectra at all. The 'action' just didn't suit my boobs - they hardly produced even a trickle, as opposed to my Tommee Tippee manual, which I can pump 2-3oz with in 15 minutes. PM me if you want to buy a practically new Spectra with all the bits to make it into a double!
